Terms of Service

The service

Tono helps you take an idea through to a finished social post written in your own voice, and — where you connect a social account — publish that content to platforms you choose. Tono is under active development; features may change, and access during pre-launch may be limited or invitation-based.

Your account

• You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• Your account is personal to you. You may not share your credentials, allow others to access your account, or transfer your account to anyone else.
• You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
• You are responsible for maintaining your own access to any third-party social accounts you connect.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Tono to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
• create or publish content that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive;
• interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure; or
• violate the terms of any social platform you connect through Tono.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create with Tono. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service — for example, to store your work, generate drafts at your request, and publish content to the accounts you connect when you ask us to. You are responsible for the content you publish.

AI-generated output

Tono uses AI to help generate drafts and suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and editing anything before you publish it, and for ensuring it meets your needs and complies with applicable rules and platform policies.

Third-party platforms

When you connect a social platform, your use of that platform remains governed by its own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party platforms, and we may be unable to provide certain features if a platform changes or revokes access.

Disclaimers and liability

Tono is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using Tono and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we need to for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved in the courts of Connecticut.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Find The Story, LLC and its members, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Tono, your content, or your violation of these terms or any third-party rights.

General

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Find The Story, LLC regarding Tono and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so later.
