Who we are

Tono is operated by Find The Story, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Connecticut, United States. For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at hello@yourtono.com.

Who can use Tono

Tono is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction if higher. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Data we collect

• Account information — the email address and any profile details you provide when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Content you create — the ideas, outlines, captions, and other material you produce in Tono, so we can save your work and improve your results.
• Connected social accounts — if you choose to connect a social platform, we receive an authorization token and basic profile information needed to identify the account and perform actions you request (such as publishing content you have created in Tono).
• Usage and diagnostics — analytics and error data collected via cookies and similar technologies, including IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, to help us understand how the product is used and fix problems.

How we use connected social data

Access to your social accounts is used for one purpose: to let you publish content you have explicitly created in Tono to the accounts you have connected. Specifically:

• We request only the permissions needed to post content you have reviewed and explicitly chosen to publish through Tono.
• We use basic profile permissions only to confirm which account you are connecting and to display it to you during the connection flow.
• We do not post anything without your explicit action, and we do not scrape, harvest, or store your social content beyond what is needed to complete an action you have requested.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored on managed infrastructure with access controls and encryption in transit. Authorization tokens for connected accounts are stored securely and are used only to perform actions you initiate. You can disconnect any social account at any time, which revokes Tono’s access.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal data or your social account data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers below, strictly to operate Tono.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run Tono: Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Anthropic (AI generation), Vercel (hosting and usage analytics), PostHog (product analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments.

YouTube API Services

This application uses YouTube API Services. Use of YouTube API Services is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Data obtained through the YouTube API is used only to publish content you have created in Tono to your YouTube channel at your explicit request. It is not used for any other purpose, shared with third parties for independent use, or retained beyond what is needed to complete the action you requested.

Google API Limited Use

Tono’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained from Google APIs is used only to provide the feature you requested and is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide that feature, used for serving advertisements, or used to train general AI or ML models.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including any stored social authorization tokens — by visiting our data deletion page or emailing hello@yourtono.com. We will delete your data within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law. Connected social account tokens are revoked and deleted immediately upon request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Tono evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
