Data Deletion
Last updated June 18, 2026
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by Tono at any time. This page explains what gets deleted and how to request it.
What we delete
A full account deletion removes the following:
- Your account and sign-in — whether you sign in with a password or with Google. Deleting your Tono account does not affect your Google account; it only removes Tono.
- All content you created in Tono — ideas, outlines, scripts, and captions
- Your voice profile and any creative preferences we have stored on your behalf
- Authorization tokens for any social platforms you connected (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest) — these are revoked immediately
- Any waitlist or contact information associated with your email
We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable usage data (such as aggregate analytics) and records we are legally required to keep. No retained data can be linked back to you.
Delete your account yourself
The fastest way is to do it yourself, from inside Tono. Go to Settings → Accountand use the “Delete account” option. You confirm by typing your email, and deletion happens immediately — your data is erased, any active subscription is cancelled, and any connected social tokens are revoked in the same step. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Request deletion by email
If you can’t sign in, or would rather we handle it, send a deletion request to hello@yourtono.com from the email address associated with your account, with “Data deletion request” in the subject line. We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
Revoking social platform access
You can also revoke Tono’s access to a specific social platform at any time without deleting your account — either from within Tono or directly from the platform’s own settings:
- Instagram / Facebook— Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → remove Tono
- TikTok — Profile → Settings → Privacy → Connected apps → remove Tono
- LinkedIn— Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Other applications → remove Tono
- YouTube / Google — Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access → remove Tono
- Pinterest — Settings → Security and privacy → Apps → remove Tono
Revoking platform access removes Tono’s ability to publish on your behalf but does not delete your Tono account or content. To delete everything, use the account deletion steps above.
